cheap stone cutting and grinding box

To avoid the high amount of dust coming from cutting / grinding stones I

constructed a grinding box. An opening was cut with a sharp knife and a metal shear into a

plastic container from wal mart (4.50 $). (If the plastic breaks you

can melt the fracture lines together again with the small reducing flame

of a torch).

cheap polishing tool for hard to reaching places

I had to polish a piece of jewelry with hard to reaching areas, so I had to think of how to do it. I constructed a cheap and effective new polishing tool:

cut a cotton swab (I took one with a pointed end and a plastic shaft) and stick it onto a tooth pick. This has to be done for stability reasons. The toothpick fits into the Dremel collet nut. Now the polishing tool is ready for use with polishing compound!
